Smoky Mountain Sk8way & Fun Zone, Haywood County’s Roller Skating Rink and Family Entertainment Center, returns for another year with its summer camp program for an adventurous, active and healthy summer. We know we say this every year but it’s true….this summer will be our best summer yet with trips to the Pari Space Station, WCU, the Arboretum and more! 

 The Camp program provides a 10-week day camp June 5 – August 11 held Mon – Fri, 8am – 5 pm. Kids are grouped by ages and guided by Camp Counselors who inspire, mentor and nurture kids, while keeping both minds and bodies active. Camp open to kids 6 years old to 12 years old. 6 Junior Counselor chosen for leadership training, ages 13-16.

The Sk8way’s onsite activities include skate lessons, team building games & activities, arts & crafts, culinary fun, STEAM experiments, water wars, and more. The camp focuses on non-stop adventure, education and skill building – the reason why campers return to the camp year after year. Every week features a different theme filled with unique events. Mondays are “Specials Day” when an area instructor holds an informative and fun, kid-focused class. Examples include self-defense with Spencer Bolejack from the Discovery Channel, Dog Training, Taekwondo, and many more. Campers also enjoy offsite field trips two days a week. Every Tuesday brings a different mini excursion; Scaly Mountain Slides, Bowling, Nature Center….so many places. Thursdays features a trip to the park and swimming. Wednesday and Fridays we invite other camps in to join us for an afternoon of skating, games and inflatable fun. “We are the camp other camps come to for fun and ENTERTAINMENT, not babysitting!”

Enrollment is available for one week or all ten weeks. You must pick your weeks in advance but you pay weekly $175. Enrollment is limited and begins March 6th. We ask that you also download and print out the parent handbook, calendar and medical form. Please bring this with you on the first day of camp. If you do not have the capability to print we have handbooks onsite.  Your camper will receive their swag bag, camp shirt and water bottle on their first day of camp.
